Question
I'm doing research for an estate I'm settling...  Can you comment on the following companies?

Mid-West Mines (BC 1955)
Tacoma Resources Ltd. (BC 1974)
Calix Mines (BC 1963)
Komo Explorations Ltd. (BC 1966)

Thanks

Answer
Richard, from the information I have available:

Mid-West had two reverse splits (1 for 5 and 1 for 10) and became United Cardigan, which was cease-traded in 1984. That cease-trade order remains in effect.

Tacoma was struck from the corporate register in 1985. No current value.

Calix had a 1 for 8 reverse split and two name changes. It was struck from the corporate register in 1983. No current value.

Komo had at least 8 name changes and multiple reverse splits (1 for 5, 1 for 4, 1 for 5, 1 for 3, 1 for 2.5, 1 for 5, and 1 for 4) and became Diversified Industries. Diversified went private in 2012 through a 1 for 25,000,000 reverse split in 2012. Shareholders with less than 25 million shares received $0.00071 cash per share.
