Question
200 shares of Kirkland Lake from C.C.Fields for S.G.Miller through
Burleigh & Partners Ltd.

200 shares of Thomson Cadillac from C.C.Fields for S.G.Miller.
Victoria Securities Ltd...  Burleigh & Partners Ltd.(Seller).
These were bought in May 1936. Our Mother has left us so we have
no idea about them.
Where would a person go find more information?... Malcolm.

Answer
Malcolm, from the information I have available:

Kirkland Lake went through numerous name changes and reverse splits (1 for 5, 1 for 10, and 1 for 15) and is now Groundstar Resources, which trades for about 10 cents per share. Due to the reverse splits, your original 200 shares is almost certainly wiped out and there is no current value. You can confirm this information with the current transfer agent (www.canstockta.com).

Thomson Cadillac went bankrupt during WWII. No value for common shareholders.

Even though there is no value in the shares, the certificates may have some nominal value to collectors.
