Canadian Stocks/Old Stock Certificates

Do any of these stock certificates have any value:
1)Trans-Canada Mines Limited 500 shares Dec 7,1948
2)Mag-Iron Mining & Milling Limited 1 share Jan 3,1950
3)Orun Prospecting Syndicate 5 shares Feb 12,1046
4)Ram River Oils Limited Various certificates issued 1940 to 1947.

Tony, from the information I have available:

Trans-Canada has no value. The Company was dissolved in the late 1950's.

Mag-Iron has no value. The Company was dissolved in the early 1970's.

Ram River has no value. The Company was struck from the Corporate Register and dissolved in the early 1960's.

I have no information on prospecting syndicates. They were not publicly traded companies, but instead were formed under separate legislation. They were sold to a very small number of people, usually friends and family, and were formed to raise money to explore a specific property or area. If something was found, the property would usually be sold to a public company for stock which was then distributed to syndicate members. Once the money ran out, the syndicate dissolved. I would not be surprised if one of the other certificates you have came from the syndicate.
