Canadian Stocks/Red Lake Gold Shores Mines Limited
I ran across a certificate for 200 shares of Red Lake Gold Shore Mines Limited dated October 1938. Is there any value to this or is the certificate (as a collectors item) worth more than the shares?
Robert, from the information I have available, the Company had several name changes and at least two reverse splits (1 for 18 and 1 for 20) and became LAC Minerals on the basis of 2.377 of a LAC share for each old share. LAC was acquired by Barrick on the basis of 0.487 of a Barrick share for each LAC share. The current transfer agent for Barrick is www.canstockta.com. I suggest you contact them and see if the certificate has any current value.
