Canadian Stocks/old canadian penny mining stock certificates

I have certificates from a number of Canadian (all incorporated in BC) companies from 1982.  Please, can you tell me if and how I can still sell them:

Velvet Exploration Co. Ltd.  CUSIP 922582 10 1

Hughes Lang Corp.  CUSIP 44443L 10 6

Crossland Industries Corp.  CUSIP 22764G 10 4

Also, I have many others incorporated in Idaho.  Who could help me research these?

Thanks very much,

Richard, from the information I have available:

Velvet changed its name to Velvet Exploration Ltd., and was acquired by El Paso in 2001 for $8.15 per share cash. The registered holder should have received a check at that time.

Hughes Lang had several mergers and name changes, and at least one 1 for 10 reverse split, and became Central Asia Goldfields, which was suspended, delisted and cease-traded in 1999. No current value.

Crossland was suspended and delisted in 1989. No current value.

For the Idaho incorporated companies, I suggest you contact a broker and see if they can perform a search for you.
