Canadian Stocks/Old Shares

I have two Share Certificates that belonged to my Dad, Consolidated Gem Explorations Ltd. and Brick Shares, so either of these have any value or are they just pretty wall paper now.  Thank you for your help.

Best Regards,
Terry Begemann

Terry, from the information I have available:

Consolidated Gem had two 1 for 5 reverse splits and several name changes before being struck from the corporate registrar and dissolved. No current value.

The BCRIC (British Columbia Resources Investment Corp.) shares have no value. Every adult citizen of BC received shares for free, but the Company later was reorganized and reverse split before being bought out for a nominal amount, with the purchase offer expiring in 2007. Today, any remaining shares are just curiosities and don't even have value to collectors as there are millions of certificates still out there.
