Question
We found some very old Canadian stock certificates for The Big Six Silver Cobalt Mines LTD. Some of these are dated back to 1908. Any idea on where I can start researching. At the bottom of the certificate it says Alexander & Cable Co. Ltd Toronto

Answer
Ron, 100 year old stock certificates rarely have value, except to collectors as art. But, I would suggest you try researching the stock through the Province of Incorporation. That should appear on the certificate somewhere. Even 100 year old corporations should be in the Province's records somewhere, although you might have to pay for a search. You might also try a brokerage firm, as they will often perform such searches for good clients; However, again, information on 100 year-old corporations is pretty hard to come by most places.

Good Luck,
