Question
Are there any Canadian stocks that can be bought originally direct from the company ( no broker)that also have a DRIP? ( dividend re-investment )

I already have WestCoast Enery stock but I would like to branch out..thanks

Answer
Hello Jim. There is a very good site that has a pretty comprehensive list of Canadian companies that offer Dividend Re-Investment Plans (DRIP's) and Stock Purchase Plans (SPP's). The site is the Stingy Investor and the URL for the SPP's is:

http://www.stingyinvestor.com/SI/DRPs/SPPs.shtml

From that page you can click on the menu at the left and get the DRIP list. There are also some good articles there that might be worth reading.

Hope this helps,
