can you tell me about any quick way to scent a normal candle so that the aroma is reflected for a short time.
Answer Candlemaking is a process that should be done in steps. I really don't know of a quicker way of scenting a candle. You need to have hot liquid wax, a wick and fragrance oil in order to make a candle. Adding the fragrance oil at the proper temperature and mixing it well is essential. You need to make sure that you are using fragrance oils, not perfume or cologne. The oil needs to bind with the wax. Depending on the type of wax you are using, some waxes need to cure in order for the scent to come thru. Candlemaking is much like chemistry, everything needs to work together to make a real nice end result. The wax, fragrance oil and wick all play an important part in making a fragrant candle. If you are just starting out, please research and do your testing before giving candles away or trying to sell them.
