Question Can I use glass jars(baby food, jelly jars,etc...)to make candles?
Thanks,

Answer Hi Susan,
There are many types of glass jars that you can use to pour your candles in. Baby food, jelly and canning type jars can be used. In fact I pour all my candles into pint & half pint sized canning jars for a country look. Just make sure that the wick and type of wax you use are the correct products for your application. I stress using the correct wicking highly because, if you have a wick that is too big, your jar can get too hot and shatter. It can happen, so you must be careful. Another thing I'd like to point out is, the type of wax. Making container candles requires a different type wax than a votive or taper candle. You will need a softer and lower melt point wax. If you are just starting out making your first candles. Do your research, ask questions and have fun doing it.
