About Peter Loedden
Expertise
Since I passionately believe in beeswax candles and there is precious little info out there it took me about two years of research and trial and error to arrive at a reasonable level of craftsmanship which I would like to share with budding beeswaxers. No soap questions please My expertise is in poured beeswax, don`t ask me about "rolled" beeswax candles or paraffin candles.

Experience
Two years of research, and now run a successful beeswax candle making business.

Candle & Soap Making - Wax on Blankets

Expert: Peter Loedden - 4/18/2001

Question
We have candlewax on a Korean made blanket, several spots.  How can we remove the candlewax?
It is a white wax against various browns.   Thank you

Answer
Hi Richard,
there are two ways to remove wax; you can either stuff the blanket in your freezer overnight and then break up the wax gently with a hammer (that's a start if you have a lot of wax on the blanket), then (and if you don't have too much wax on it) get some blotting paper, put it over the wax and heat gently with an iron, the blotting paper will soak up the wax.
Good luck
Peter
