Question
I have a 14" high, 1-1/4 " diameter candle, half of it is "U" shaped, with a twisted "handle" the other 7".  It looks fork like and is actually a church candle used to bless throats.  The base below the u is broken in shipping all the way from Dubrovnik, Croatia.  Any thoughts on how to I can repair this?

Answer
Hi Jean,

Geez, I wish I could be of more help to you on this matter. When it comes to candles and breakage, I normally would advise melting them down and doing a repour on it. But since sounds like a very unique candle, I don't think that would work. Since I have no experience with these types of candles, I'll just throw one thought out to you. One way to perhaps repair this candle would be using some type of super adhesive glue, whether it be  super glue, or gorilla glue. I don't know just a thought.  Another thought was taking some wax and melting a bit and trying to repair it that way. However with this method, I'm not positive how strong that bond would be. Again, just a thought.

Sorry I couldn't be any more help.  Good luck!
