Olive oil, in my experience (10 years), makes a beautiful, long-lasting bar of soap. The product is very hard and in most articles and books I have read, it is highly recommended because of this. It is a lot more expensive to make but you can mark up the price because of the unbelievable quality of the bar it produces. No one has balked at the prices I've set and they always come back as repeat buyers. Olive oil is the best in my experience. Good luck.
