Candle & Soap Making/I hope this question...

Question
I hope this question isn't too much of a nuisance, but I was just curious if you could answer this question that has been bugging me for months.  I know you are into poured beeswax candles, but do you happen to know which candle has a longer burning time, Beeswax or Bayberry. I have heard Beeswax is a very light weight and durable wax but it doesn't burn long, but Bayberry candles last a long time but they are very easily broken and quite brittle.
I don't know, but I am looking for a quality type of candle, do you know, I really need some help!

Answer
Kay,
I frankly do not know which burns longer. I know beeswax burns a lot longet than paraffin. The beeswax that does not burn very long are the rolled tapers, there is more air in them than wax. Poured pillars burn quite good. If you are looking for a quality type candle, you can't go wrong with beeswax.
I also happen to sell it for $30.00/10lbs+S/H

Hope this helps a bit.

Expertise

Since I passionately believe in beeswax candles and there is precious little info out there it took me about two years of research and trial and error to arrive at a reasonable level of craftsmanship which I would like to share with budding beeswaxers. No soap questions please My expertise is in poured beeswax, don`t ask me about "rolled" beeswax candles or paraffin candles.

Experience

Two years of research, and now run a successful beeswax candle making business.
