Candle & Soap Making/oil warmer

Question
is it safe to place a candle in a glass container on an oil warmer (with a tealight candle for heat)?  What would be the risk?

Answer
Hi Tracy,
You will want to be careful with glass containers and direct flames. Sometimes glass can not tolerate direct contact with fire. It's hard to say what can happen, because it depends on how thick, and if your glass has been heat tempered. If it hasn't been, you run the risk of the glass shattering and your oil, glass and or wax going everywhere as well as the risk of a fire can happen. Especially so if you are not near by. Please be careful and if at all possible put your candles and oils in glassware that has been designed for these applications.
