Candle & Soap Making/unusual

Question
When I get to try making candles, I don't see the point in making the same
ones you find at any store.  I am interested in any type of "unusual" candle,
and this could mean just about anything.  The only example I know of is a
Nimbus candle, where it's kind of like a skeletal figure of strands of wax
spiraling around the burning part.  Are there books you would recommend on
any type of unusually interesting candles, or sites where I could find
inspiration?  I would appreciate any ideas.

Answer
Hi Meg,
When it comes to making something unusual, your imagination is the limit. Whatever you can think of, you can probably create with wax.  There are many different types of wax that are on the market that allows you some creativity. There are also one book that comes to mind and that is "The Encyclopedia of Candlemaking Techniques" - by Sandie Lea. The book is a step my step guide in making more unique candles than just a jar candle. Check your local library as well as a Barnes & Nobles book seller for books on how to make unique candles.
