Question
I have two male boxers. Bronx who is 2 years old and mason who is 10 months old. They both are not nuetered. We got Mason at 6 months and have had bronx since he was 6 weeks old. Bronx is trained very well and has never been aggresive till we got Mason. They both seem to get very jeolous when my boyfriend or I pay more attention to the other. Mason goes after bronx when bronx is getting attention from my boyfriend and he isnt getting any from my boyfriend; but I am giving him attention. We dont know what to do because the fighting is getting worse. They both are very tense around eachother and now we feel as if we have to keep them away from eachother at all times.  Would it help if we got Mason fixed? I have heard that it would but I am not sure if this is true? Is the fighting dominancy? My boyfriend thinks we should try to sell Mason to a new home because Bronx is our first dog and he is very good. But I love Mason and want to try to make things work. What is your opinion on this situation?

Answer
I don't think you'll have to sell Mason. It is a good idea to have them neutered. And it also can be over dominance. But by getting them fixed, it helps prevent them from trying to get away when a female goes into heat and they pick up her scent and try to follow her. And it can calm them down. I hope this all works out and you can keep them both and please feel free to follow up. =]
