Question
I have a 4 yr old min schnauzer that continuously runs around because he seems to be expelling gas. He has to always put pressure on his butt by leaning it against someone or something.  This gets increasingly worse..The vet has taken tests and has come up with no explanation.  She is treating with prednisone which helps but still does not help solve the problem.  This is a constant on going problem and the dog is in distress along with the owner(me). He will stand up and dart out as if something just came out of his butt.  Please help if you can!!!

Thanks for the question. Unfortunately, it's way out of my area of behavioral health. This is a medical or diet problem. If this were my dog, I'd consider speaking with a veterinarian who specializes in nutrition and additional tests such as an ultrasound. Good luck, thanks for writing.
