My pom does this as well. She will throw her body down and kick and "ruff," and then kick her back legs.  We say she is having a "sh*t fit."  She usually does it when she's not getting attention, especially whenI am on the phone or when she is ready for bed she will start doing this. I just wonder why Poms do this? It's funny at times, but can be annoying if she is ignored.
