Question
my 5 month old bloodhound has food aggression bad. what can i do to correct this. she has come at me, barks, growls, and tries to bite.

Answer
Hi Kristin,

You didn't mention if the aggression is directed at people or other animals. If directed at people, you might try tossing some high vale food treats into her food bowl as she is eating her dinner.

This will teach her that you are not going to steal her food when you approach but you are going to give her better food. That is a primitive approach but all I can offer in this forum.

Buy the book - Mine -  by Jean Donaldson. She gives step by step instructions on how to work on resource guarding.

Thanks for writing and Good Luck.
