Question
Hi i have a very fussy boxer.He willeat dry food one week then starve himself the next.He is also funny with any meat except chicken his tummy cant handel it.I have had the same food now for 3 months now he refuses to eat it again can you help please.

Dear Elaine,
Thanks for the question. Generally speaking healthy dogs are not picky eaters. Some dogs have allergies to certain proteins like beef or chicken.

Your pup could be 'starving' himself because the food is just terrible or because you make a fuss and 'give in' and feed him treats or better food when he doesn't eat his regular food.

Buy a quality food that has no by-products and no corn products listed as one of the ingredients. Avoid foods that have processed grains like flour.  

If he refuses to eat the quality food, have him checked out by your vet. Happy Training!
