Question
I have a 5 months jack terrier Russell. She is very disciplinary and playful when she's at home, but outside she is completely disobedient. Because she is still being potty train we take her outside first in the morning but not matter what happens she wonders away with any stranger following them unstoppably, she climbs into their porches and is completely unresponsive to her already learned "no" to which she turns back and ignores it completely...is a hell of a job to get her back in the house, what can I do?

Answer
Dear Viie, Thanks for the question.
Off leash "come" is an advanced skill. First you have to master the basic skills.(smile)

Attach a leash or long line to her before you take her outside. Find a trainer who can teach you how to take her through the different levels of "come". Buy the book, Beginning Family Dog Training.

Happy Training!

I will answer all questions about canine behavior and training, training methods and equipment. Be ready to provide dog's name, age, sex, breed and how long you have owned the dog. In addition, it'd be great for me to know how long the problem has been occurring, what you have tried to solve the problem(s) and what were the results.

The more information you provide me - the better equipped I will be to offer sound, helpful advice! Thank you.
