Canine Behavior/dog in mourning

I lost my 12 year lab on 9/4 to cancer and my 10 yr old Jasmine is mourning so badly, and puts her head under the pillow on the couch, and sleeps on the corner of my closet instead of her bed in my bedroom.  She is eating, goes to beach in a.m. and happy doing that.  She and Murphy ALWAYS greeted me at the door when I came back home from work or errands, and she is not doing that....just stays on her couch. I have adopted a 6-8 month old but don't have her yet and am hoping that that will be an answer, and if not, I don't know what to do.

I will answer all questions about canine behavior and training, training methods and equipment. Be ready to provide dog's name, age, sex, breed and how long you have owned the dog. In addition, it'd be great for me to know how long the problem has been occurring, what you have tried to solve the problem(s) and what were the results.

The more information you provide me - the better equipped I will be to offer sound, helpful advice! Thank you.
