Susan is absolutely right. Visiting outside often will encourage your dog to use the grass instead of your house for a toilet. Remember to give your dog lots of praise when they finally do poop or pee outside. You should select a name for each action so you can encourage them by name when you need them to go on command. You can reward them with small treats for being good at their job. Another good time to take your dog out is right after hearty play or first thing in the morning. I find that when house training a dog it is best to take them out on a leash so they can keep their mind on the task at hand. When finished, before releasing, remember to give lots of praise for a job well done. Once you feel that they have mastered house training, a leash may not be required. Remember, when teething to pick up everything off the floor that you don't want destroyed. Never give your dogs old shoes to chew on. They won't know the difference between old shoes and new shoes later on.
