I noticed the same thing, our alpha male will pee on the same area where our eldest girl has just pee'd.   After doing some research, I came across one theory that says, the pack leader will sometimes pee on a elderly or weak dog's pee to hide their scent from predators.  It is suppose to be a way of protecting the elderly and weak members of the pack.

In addition, it'd be great for me to know how long the problem has been occurring, what you have tried to solve the problem(s) and what were the results.

The more information you provide me - the better equipped I will be to offer sound, helpful advice! Thank you.
