Expert: ALARMTEK - 10/7/2006

Question
Sir, I recently reconnected the security system on this vehicle and installed a new battery in the remote. I believe the system is working because the indicator light flashes when I unlock the vehicle with the key. The remote will not lock or unlock the vehicle. Is there a way to test the remote and if I need to replace it,how do I know what or where to purchase a replacement? Thank you for your time,Mike

The alarm seems to be doing it's job.
At least we know it's installed correctly
which is actually a good thing here.

I would try to reset the alarm or go in and out of valet,
so that the alarm sees the change. Also checl the
connection to the siren to be sure it was not
clipped, and re attatch if needed.
