Question Can a remote Car Starter be installed in a 2006 Ford Ranger with a standard transmission. In order to start this vehicle, I need to depress the clutch and turn the key. It will not start in neutral If I do not depress the clutch and turn the key.
Answer Yes sir. You can do this safely.
You would need to do a relay clutch bypass
to allow for remote start, and also ad the PKFM transponder
bypass kit to get around the PATS system in the ignition.
But yes, doable. :>)
I have 3 great units on sale right now that addresses
this project. See the
AUTOSTART 2775 RS , THE GALAXY 5000 RSWM & THE ASTRA 1000 RSW.
These would do well in your truck.
Let me know if you want to put together
a kit for the Ranger.
