Question
i have an 2001 i 30 and the keyless intery form the dealer went out its a factory remote and when i go to start the car the dash lit up but when it goes to turn over the lits go off and theres a clicking under the hood please help would a after market alarm being installed take care of my problem

Answer
Yes the addition of an after market keyless entry will correct the issue.
The door locks and the alarm are the same in this car. The
physical action of the door lock and lock also arms and disarms.

Adding an after market device would do this nicely.
