Car Alarms - Sensitivity On factory alarm for 1996 mustang gt

Expert: ALARMTEK - 11/9/2009

Question
QUESTION: Hi,
I have a 1996 Ford Mustang Gt with a factory alarm installed. The problem I am having is I can only use my remote for no farther than 15 feet away. That just doesn't seem right. Is there a Sensitivity Setting on the Factory alarm for my car?
Thanks,
John

ANSWER: No sensetivity on "factory" alarms. So you can not change the range.
Are you certain it's factory?

QUESTION: yes its def. factory... im thinking of just doing a remote start...only problem is that i drive a manual ...so its going to cost a little bit more

Answer
Got just the thing for you.
www.startbyremote.com and see the
AUTOSTART 2775 unit. No much more
cost but does what you need specifically
for manual transmissions.

It does your keyless as well and has
excellent range rated at 1200 feet.

This one is a good choice for this car.

Have a good day!

A.
