Car Alarms/Car alarm goes off when car is not touched

Question
I just purchased a 2-way pager car alarm for my '05 Monte Carlo. For some reason the alarm will go off by itself and the pager reads "door". After checking my car the door is still locked and the car door has not been opened. This happens all the time I arm the alarm. Any help would be greatley appreciated

Answer
Sounds like it's reading a door trigger and probably
reporting it as a door opening.

My guess is it's on the wrong wire.

But the installer should have gotten the
correct notes on diode isolating the doors
and of course the correct wires are needed
to make it all work correctly.

I would take it back to have the tech
evaluate this issue and repair it.

Good luck.
