Question I have a 1996 Jeep with an alarm system that was installed by the dealer (no longer in business). It also has a remote starter that we disabled at the battery because the car alarm kept going off (horn blowing). The Jeep was fine for a while. Now it will not start. we have to pop the hood and remove the fuse and once we put the fuse back in it will start. There is a lot of clicking under the hood before we start the car once the fuse in put back in.
Any help would be appreciated. We just want the car to start.
Answer Please try to locate the valet switch
to overide the alarm.
If you would read some of the previous
posts I made on this subject, you will
see the procedure to toggle into and out
of valet/override mode. It allows
you to set and reset the starter kill mechanism
as well as all other standard alarm features.
