Question QUESTION: I have a 99 Legacy. When i turn the ign. off i get 6 beeps ( 3 pairs of beeps ) they occur about 2 seconds after the switch is turned off. What is the car trying to tell me??
ANSWER: Not sure what after market system you have there, but try to
identify it by going to www.keynfob.com and then
locate the manufacturer for the manual to
explain it.
All alarms differ and yours sounds
as if it's reporting a brake in.
Good hunting.

QUESTION: I don't have an after market system. It is a OEM system
ANSWER: Trouble is the "beeps" are not described as "honks".
Beeps denote a siren. Do you have a siren?

QUESTION: No i don't have a siren. The beeps are tones of about 800 hz. " beep beep--beep beep--beep beep "
Answer Ok, ground out the green/light blue wire in the
drivers side kick panel momentarily to clear it.
The key in the door, turn left then right
should always do this. You may have other issues
but that's how we take it out in the bay when
installing after market alarms, keyless entry
and remote starters.
Sorry you felt in nec. to post a less then favorable
rating. But I'm a big boy. No problem. ;>)
The ratings matter thow, and I will not remove it although
I can. No, I will simply try to do better for the
next guy who asks me for free advice.
