Car Alarms/Car Alarm Reset

Question
I purchased a 1999 Ford Mustang. The Key fob is missing and I have an "after market" alarm system.
We took the cables off the battery to clean it and reconnected.
Now, the car turns over but won't fire up.
We're guessing it's due to the alarm disabling the ignition?
How can I reset the alarm so I can start my car?
It's not a toggle...it's just a valet-type button under the left side, next to the hood release lever.

Answer
There are 2 systems at work here.
The PATS system is what seems to be shutting you
down however. It disables the fuel rail circuit.

Ford will have to reset this one.

If it was an after market, the car would
not even crank.

Contact the local dealership in the morning.
