Expert: ALARMTEK - 11/17/2010

Question
I just purchased a 01 Honda accord. It has a after market alarm and a
factory alarm when I press the unlock button on the transmitter the
factory alarm goes off for about a minute. The same things occurs when
I arm system again. The after market beeps the let me know its armed
but the factory horn and lights go off. What should I do  

Answer
The after market alarm needs to be redone.
There will need to be a (-) pulse sent
to the factory disarm wire at the same
time as the door locks and after market
system are disarmed. This would solve
the Factory/OEM arming from happening.

For now, I would fore go using the keyless entry,
and have an alarm shop do this modification
ASAP.
