Expert: ALARMTEK - 11/3/2010

Question
I have a 2001 nissan altima, that sometimes the trunk unlocks by itself, sometimes the alarm goes off by itself. the power door locks and windows still work from inside the car but the remote transmitter will not or unlock the vehicle, I have tried reprogramming it and I have purchased a new unit to reprogram and when I get it into program mode I can not get either one of them to flash the lights the the instructions say, any clues? where is the cintrol unit on the vehicle, I am thinking there may be a loose wire, any ideas will be helpful
