Question
I have a 2004 Ford Explorer.  When I bought it used they never gave me the remotes for keyless entry.  So now the starter went out...we replaced it and now we can not get it to start.  We figured that that is the only thing keeping it from starting.  Can you help please!!

Answer
Likely to be a PATS issue.
Ford's PASSIVE ANTI THEFT SYSTEM fuel rail
cut off.

I think you may need to visit the local Ford
dealership to have this reset.

There is no Valet/override switch for factory alarms,
or for the Ford PATS system either.

Sorry.
