Question
I have an 05 chevy. Since my battery died, everytime I use my remote start my alarm system goes off at the same time. I have to unlock the doors to stop the alarm. I changed the alarm settins to use just the lights, but I'm not comfortable with this. The remote start was in the vehicle when i bought it. 1 fob runs everything. Is this something i can fix myself or does the dealer have to do it.

Answer
There should be a "factory disarm" wire on it that would
allow the disarming of the OEM system as well as the
after market remote starter.

You need to locate this wire and finish the installation
or take it back to the tech for this.

Good luck.
