Question
DID FORD US A VIPER ALARM SYSTEM AS A FACTORY ALARM IN THE 2002 FORD EXPLORER SPORT.  IF SO CAN IT SHUT DOWN THE FUEL SUPPLY AS A MATTER OF BEING IN AN ANTI THEFT MODE.

Answer
No, they dabbled in Code Alarms, but your issue
may be the Ford Securlock system or PATS.

It is an immobilizer the shuts off the fuel rail circuit
when breached. If this is the case, I'd have it
towed to Ford directly to have this reset
and make certain you have 2 transponder keys to
use with it.

Very important.

But no, DEI/Viper did not have a contract to put security into
it's vehicles.
