Expert: ALARMTEK - 12/16/2010

Question
My Toyota Rav 4 has a TDS system that was installed when the car was purchased.  It has worked fine until yesterday when I could not get the little red light at the top of the remote to go off.  I tried putting in a new battery, but that didn't solve the problem.  The light is constantly on.  Any suggestions?

The first thing you can do it to
take out the battery because it's constantly sending
a signal to the alarm. Then try to clean with alcohol
swabs so that all possible dust etc... is unseated and that the
parts are free of any debris.

Then put it back together. If no joy and the
LED is still always on, you would need to replace
the remote with fresh ones.

Try it and let's see if you can fix it on your own.
