Expert: ALARMTEK - 12/20/2010

Question
I have an autostart AS-6870TW-FM installed in my 2007 pontiac vibe. A few days ago it stopped working, the blue flashing led just stayed on and the remote no longer started the car or locked/unlocked the doors. My wife went to te shop where we had it installed and the salesman said no tech was around and he could not give an appointment for 2 weeks. He looked at the car and told her the under hood pin/plunger was all rusted and that could be the problem but to come back in 2 weeks. I changed the pin reconnected the wire but that did not change anything and now the led is completely off. I held the push button on the module and the lights flash 3 or 4 times but that's all I can get it to do. the remote does nothing. battery is new in the remote. any ideas? [:-?]
