Expert: ALARMTEK - 5/27/2010

Hi I have just brought a 53 reg x5 which appears to have a strange alarm problem, the alarm can go off at any time even if if it is quiet, no body around, flat on the ground or raised on the curb,the timing is random,but the strangest thing of all is it hasn't once gone off once during the night between 10.30 ish until 10.30 ish the next morning. we have planes going over head occasionaly but they have only set it off a couple of times, but again, not through the night, I believe it is a factory fit original and the previous owner assures me they never had a problem with it,i brought an insurance with the car,will that cover for this sort of problem.any ideas???????? thanks

If yours is indeed a factory system,
