i ave 1998 chevy expressvan bought from U S A, the battery got stolen at Nigerian port,on replacement of the battery the vehicle only crank but does not start,but also show  security light, please help.

Ok, this vehicle has the passlock II immobilizer system
and it is enguaged. You can try to use the key learn
method by putting the key into the ignition, turn forward
to the on position and leave it that way for 10 mins.
Most system will re learn to the key in the tumbler,
and then allow the start of the engine.

If this does not work for you, you would need to
get 2 relays and a bypass kit (PLJX) to make it start.

if not, try to locate this kit elsewhere online where
