Expert: ALARMTEK - 6/28/2010

Question
i just bought a car from my neigbor and i didtn know it had an alarm ...went i wnet to jump it the alarm went off. all i did was cut the wires to the horn for the alrm...and the car would start up just fine for the first two days ..then ive had to jump the car to get it started ....for one i think my battery is going out...but last night i tried to jum my car to get home and my lights just kept blinking as if the alarm was going off...and i couldnt get the jump to pass current .... i was wondering if the little black button on the side of my left leg area would toggle it off...or if there is any way to reset it and still be able to use the alarm if i hook up the horn again. also i dont have the remote to turn off the alrm.

Should be no problem really.
It appears from your expaination, that the
after market car alarm is in service mode.

Ok, try this.
Put the key in the ignition, key on,
flip switch in oposite direction,
key off.)

This should reset the alarm.

Just Repeat these steps to place it
back to valet mode.

That should do it.
