Car Alarms/Keyless Entry

Question
I have wired in the keyless entry. When I test it the system will arm (the LED flashes), flash parking lights, honk, unlock (all as it should) but it will not lock for some reason. I have the right vehicle wire (it locks when I ground it) and have tried all the lock wires from the module. I can hear the module clicking away inside but for some reason it will not lock. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Is it common for these units to be faulty? It is a Clarion K20 unit. Thanks!
