Expert: ALARMTEK - 7/7/2010

Question
I have purchased a work van from a friend with an audiovox alarm system on it,I only have a keychain remote,no manual and no need of the alarm system. The van is a 99 ford f250. the alarm system resets or seems to reset (arm) itself, keeping me from starting the engine each time I turn it off or open all the doors. My question is can this system be removed or disabled to where it will not arm itself or do I need to sell the van?.....

The "passive to active" feature setting procedure
would only be found in the manual for the alarm.
I don't know the system you have there, but try my forum

it, and where to download a copy of the manual.

If nothing pops up in the search, ask my forum moderator Robert
to see if he has a line on it for you.

Then you can figure out the toggling procedure
to turn of the passive arming function.
