Expert: ALARMTEK - 7/10/2010

Question
I have a 1997 ford contour my son had a car alarm put on that you could have the car turn on while inside the house and lost the remote for the alarm now while working on the car one day the door locked all by them self and we diconnected the battery cable thinking the car would unlock itself but didnt work since then we can turn it on but when put into gear call will turn off could this be a kill switch
