Question
The rear piece of the alarm button became detached from the mounted bracket. The car is in constant on mode-requires disarming each time the car is used.
I have tried re-assembling the button and spring loaded shaft but I can't get it to stay together. I noted the shaft has a "T" shaped metal piecein the center. How is that to be positioned?
Thanks..

Answer
No idea. When we come upon a broken valet switch. it's replaced.
Until you can, twist the 2 wire ends together, tune on key
to just before start, hold the twisted copper ends to the frame
and when it chirps, it's in Valet/Override.
Repeat this step to go back to user mode.

Then buy and install a new switch for next time.
