Expert: ALARMTEK - 9/23/2010

Hello, I own a 99 Camry LE. I had a Pursuit Alarm Installed when I first purchased the vehicle also had a car starter installed. The Alarm worked just fine, and one day started giving me trouble where when I hit the lock/unlock button it would work some times and not work other time. I noticed the two switches near kick panel. They worked to shut of the alarm when I could not disarm.

Now the alarm wont work nor the starter. I went to change my battery today and was under the assumption that the alarm dont work however when I installed the new battery and when into install the negative after installing the positive the alarm kicked in and started sounding, I tried to use my remote to shut it off and would not work, I tried to use the two switches near kick panel but would not work to shut of I kept trying to turn on the vehicle and the inginition was shut off where nothing would start, after a while of the alarm going of and on, I was able to get the car started, and now the alarm light is solid.

So key issues:

-Alarm I thought didn't work, worked when installed new battery.
-Was not able to use the two switches to turn of the alarm when it started sounding after install of new battery.
-Remote did not work to unlock or lock the vehicle and to shut of the sound of the alarm after install of new battery.

Can someone please guide me to what issues could be occurring to cause such issues. How can I go about fixing these issues?
