Expert: ALARMTEK - 9/24/2010

Hi,I really could use some HELP here!.
I own a 2001 Chev Blazer Xtreme w/dealer Install Alarm.
I am the second owner,so apparently the original owner
had this installed?,I assume????.
I am Disabled & use a wheelchair,and use hand controls to drive.
I have been stuck in a motel because my alarm will NOT Disarm!,this is the 14th day I have NOT been able to drive.

My remotes will not work I also,bought a NEW Now Obsolete Remote and that would not work either?,I tried to resyncronize my old remotes and the new one, still nothing!.

I have found behind the PROM plug a black push button hanging next to a small red light.

The red light blinks twice rapidly,I can put the key in either door to Unlock and I insert the key in the ign,turn to start NOTHING!,the horn blares & parking lights flash.
I have tried to push that black button in using several variations,while trying to start the vehicle and Nothing!.
Once I turn ignition key to the off position,and shut the
door,it will go stop,after 30 secs,and it resets itself.

What can I do?,I am stuck!

Hmmmm,
Make sure you do the procedure correctly.
Might have missed a step:

PUT IGNITION KEY IN IGNITION,
KEY ON TO JUST BEFORE CRANKING THE ENGINE.
PRESS IN AND HOLD VALET SWITCH
UNTIL YOU GET A RESPONCE
FROM THE ALARM.

KEY OFF.

This should toggle the alarm in and out of
valet/override.

If toggle type switch.
KEY ON, FLIP SWITCH, KEY OFF,
START THE CAR.

I hope this solved it for you.
If not. look forward to removal/replacement
or repair.
