my boyfriend hit the lock button while i was still locked in the car, with he alarm armed, after a while i tapped on the horn, and suddenly the alarm sounded. he kept hitting the disarm button but the alarm kept screaming, later the alarm went off so he opened the door and the alarm sounded again. he hit the alarm off switch under the dash about three times, and still it didn't go off. finally when it went off, we tried to start the car, and the motor wouldn't turn over, it took us three times until the car would start.... is this situation normal??

It's an after market alarm, and if I were you, I would
go back to the dealer and have them totally explain
how your alarm operates, what to expect from it,
and the features. If they gave you
a manual for it, go through it to see what modes
there are and how it works. Important.

It has starter kill on it, so it would behoove
you to know what to do in these situations.

Makes for a better over all experience when you are
aware of what to expect.
